Research and consulting company Strategy Analytics Inc has announced the findings of recent hands-on consumer testing conducted by the company's Advanced Wireless User Panel which has named Orange as having the Best in Class Full Music Track Download service in the UK.
Orange achieved a 15-plus point performance gap over mobile operators O2 and Vodafone.
According to the results of the testing, the Orange music service led in five out of six test categories, including: Speed of Portal Navigation, Speed of Download, Clarity of Catalog Interface, and Portal Layout/Usability, Strategy Analytics said.
The results also showed Vodafone's Music Service to have the worst performance across the range of attributes tested.
Strategy Analytics noted that all first-generation Full Track Music Download services in the UK received a failing grade on download speeds, price and DRM.
